    Grandia II HD Anniversary Edition just been released and I've decided to make a database of this awesome game.

    This is my favorite RPG series ever!!! I always wanted to play the first Grandia since it was released on the Sega Saturn. Unfortunately i couldn't afford
    one at the time. Then it was released on the PSX but i couldn't find a copy of it, there was no internet at that time, at least in my country. When the
    Dreamcast was released i bought one because of the huge amount of great games released for the Dreamcast, including SNK fighting games, Capcom
    fighting games, Skies of Arcadia, Fur Fighters and Grandia II. I bought it but for some reason i just couldn't get in the mood to play it...

    A few months after i bought it, i finally started to play it and i loved it! The characters, the soundtrack, the attacks and spells animation and specially
    the battle system. Until today this game is my favorite 3D RPG ever made and i consider the battle system the best, so i'd like to advice you to try this
    game because its amazing!

    As always information will be added on the top posts and updates will be registered by date on the next post.

    Most of the technical data and information comes from Japanese guides such as "Grandia II Official Guidebook" "Dengeki Grandia II Capture Guide" and
    "Playstation Grandia II Capture Guide", but I added lots and lots of information collected while i was playing the game. In fact this game was the first
    game where i started to collect data when i've first played it.

    - Ryudo's ultimate move and the trademark move of every Grandia game protagonist! Also have the highest SP cost and raw attack power in the game!

    Elena

    - Elena's attack is a two staff attacks at average speed.

    - Elena's critical have a pretty slow start up.

    Nightmare Ball

    - 0 IP damage
    - 150 AP
    - Multiple targets, Circle shape. Have 90% chances of inflicting SLEEP negative status on all targets hit by it.
    - Elena's most useful move and the most useful move in most normal and boss battles.

    Droplets of Life
    - Available when she joins. 1400, 700, 1400, 2800, 5600 special coins
    - 90 SP
    - 960 AP
    - All allies, recover HP
    - Elena's healing move. Not that useful, save your SP for Nightmare Ball or White Apocalypse and use healing spells instead.

    White Apocalypse
    - Available when she joins. 1200, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800 special coins
    - 80 SP
    - 3000 IP damage
    - 740 AP
    - All enemies in battlefield, Inflict massive damage on beings of darkness
    - Elena's ultimate move and one of the most spectacular animations ever!!! Great for dealing with bosses and groups of powerful enemies.


    Millenia

    Evasion rate:  5% normal or 15% until the next turn after using Evasion battle command.

    Battle commands

    Attack
    - Millenia's attack is a ranged three arrow shots at average speed. It may miss targets that are moving on her left or right.

    Critical
    - Millenia's critical is a ranged attack with pretty slow start up, but travels fast to the target.

    - Millenia's most hillarious special move! I never found use for it in the original, but maybe on hard mode.

    Fallen Wings
    - Default, 800, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 special coins
    - 75 SP
    - 3000 IP damage
    - 480 AP
    - All enemy targets
    - Millenia's all targets special move and one of the most spectacular animations ever!!!

    Starving Tongue
    - Available after story event. 800, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 special coins
    - 55 SP
    - 0 IP damage
    - 400 AP
    - All enemy targets, all allies
    - Millenia's healing move, Damage targets and recover allies HP. Save her SP for Spellbind Eye or Arrow Shot and use healing spells.

    Spellbind Eye
    - Available after story event. 1000, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 special coins
    - 60 SP
    - 0 IP damage
    - 0 AP
    - Single target, Completely halt enemy actions and deal damage overtime. If tagerting the main body part all other parts will be stopped too.
    - The most powerful move in the RPG history ever!!! It completely halts enemy actions and if you target the main body part of a boss the other
    parts will not act until the effect ceases. This will not deal IP damage so be careful, any target not directly targeted by this move will stop at the
    point of action. make sure you cancel its actions before the move effect ceases. This move must be your priority to max out as soon as you get it.

    Grundging Claws
    - Available after story event. 700, 350, 700, 1400, 2800 special coins
    - 42 SP
    - 4500 IP damage
    - 735 AP
    - Single target, Massive damage and massive IP damage.
    - Millenia's single target damage and IP damage dealer. Focus on Spellbind Eye, Heel Crush or Arrow Shot.

    - This move have the same animation and effects of the spell Howlnado in pink color. However it doesn't inflict confuse negative status.

    Whispers to Stars

    - All allies, Increase all four battle parameters (ATK, DEF, ACT and MOV) by one. Stack up to five.
    - Since Grandia 2 is a pretty easy game this move is not absolutely need and the only battle that would make this worthy, the boss can dispell you very quickly. So its better to save SP for Lotus Flower.

    1: Once you get control of Ryudo, go Southeast and grab the WOUND SALVE next to the lake.
    2: Hid between the bushes and the big rock at the Northeast of the lake its a POISON ANTIDORE.
    3: After climibing the ladder after the save point. Open the red chest containing BLIZZARD CHARM.
    4: After the curve where you fight your first battle. Look for a black chest containing WOND SALVE, HAND GRENADE and
     YOMI'S ELIXIR.

    1: Cut the left mushroom blocking the entrance to get a MUSCLE MUSHROOM.
    2: Go to the elevated part near where you've got the first item. in the croner you'll find 150 G.
    3: Go Northeast and you'll see two mushrooms surrounded by trees. Cut one to get 50 G.
    4: Go North always near the corner and cut on of the two mushrooms to get 50 G.
    5: Go North is the grassy area and you'll find a entrance, go to the end of it and grab a GOBLIN TOADSTOOL.
    6: Easth from the save point, right in the intersection of the montains with elevation cut the mushroom for 50 G.
    7: From the last treasure go all way down and cut the mushroom at the end to get a MUSHROOM CLOUD.
    8: In the rocky path intersection, follow the Southeast path to get POISON ANTIDOTE.
    9: In the 2nd intersection, follow the Northwest path and grab 150 G in the chest at the end.

    10: In the intersection go Left and grab 50 G at the end of the path.
    11: From the ladder go all way to the right and activate the catapult at the end and grab the CLIMBING HAT on the ground.
    12: From the previous treasure go up to see a red chest cointaining 150 G.
    13: Now activate the catapult you ignored to play some Bowling, then open the black get for POISON ANTIDOTE, YOMI'S ELIXIR
    and CRYSTAL BROOCH.
    14: Grab the 50 G on the ground at the end of the path, just before the exit.

    2: After destroying the wall with the big rock grab the MEDICINAL HERB on the path to the switch.
    3: After pushing the first switch, cross the bridge and take the MEDICINAL HERB on the ground near lifted comport.
    4: In the room where you push the 2nd rock, take the YOMI'S ELIXIR behind the wood boxes.
    5: After crossing the 2nd bridge take 100 G behind the wood barrels near the river intersection.
    6: In the room with 3 groups of frogs, go left and take the SLEEP CHARM near the intersection of the river.
    7: Also grab the POFF NUT in the same area of the treasure above.

    8: Grab the CALMING HARP in the red chest on the next room after saving Roan.
    9: Grab the MEDICINAL HERB on the ground of the next room.
    10: Step on the switch, go to the room opened and grab 300 G inside the red chest.
    11: After draining the water go to the next room and grab the STONE HEAD on the ground.
    12: Grab 100G near the stalacmites left of the hole with a big rock on theother side.
    13: Cross the river and grab the POFF NUT near the stalagmites.
    14: Grab the TORTE'S REEDPIPE on the left side after crossing the 3rd bridge.

    Advice: Before leaving the cave you can give the two Poff Nuts that you've got in the cave to the Carro in the entrance.
    If you do so, he'll start to glow and will accompany you everytime you enter the cave.

    Advice: When Millenia leaves the party her equiped skill, accessory and egg will be available on menu. However her weapon,
    armor, headgear and footwear will remain equiped. It's a good idea to unequip these.

    1: Grab the 200 G past the gas wall trap.
    2: Right after fighting the first grab the SEED OF RUNNING on the tree.
    3: Follow the elevated path and open the red chest for 600 G at North of the save point.
    4: From the red chest, go up breaking the rocks and open another red chest for 600 G.
    5: Backtrack to the path that lead you to the entrance area, go North, then West, break the rocks and get the DASH SHOES.
    6: Now go up and grab 200 G on the ground behind the three big rocks near the exit to Baked Plains 2.
    7: Farm the SEED OF PSYCHE from the tree a Northeeast of the previous treasure.

    8: From the entrance, go Northwest and farm the SEED OF POWER on the three.
    9: Farm one SEED OF DEFENSE from the tree on the elevation a little east from the treasure above.
    10: Now go all the way to East and grab 200 G on the ground.
    11: Break the rock and open the black chest in the middle of the lake to get HEALING HERB, NORTHWIND CAPE and POISON CHARM.
    12: Go Northwest and grab 200 G on the ground between the big rock and the bushes.
    13: Further Northwest you get a POFF NUT on the ground.
    12: Southwest from the Puff Nut, break the rock and take 600 G from the red chest.
    13: Go Northwest from the previous treasure and check the tree to get SEED OF SWIFTNESS.
    14: From the exit to Baked Plains 3 go Southeast to get SEED OF MAGIC on the tree.
