Alternative developers for remake or Xenosaga 4?

So this was asked a short while back. I am not sure if it was already discussed. If so, I apologize for bringing it back up.

So it looks like we have confirmation that Namco owns the rights.

This begs the question, Since Monolith is owned by Nintendo, what other developer would you like to see take on Xenosaga, either remastering the series or even developing Xenosaga 4?

I mean he did not even seem to consider Monolith so maybe they are completely out of the question already and there is no hope of them coming back for Xenosaga 4 but clearly they will at least respond to inquiries about Xenosaga so they haven't completely forgotten about that series.

So katimus...what would you do if a certain company in maryland got the rights to develop Xenosaga?

Seriously, though, I don't want to think of Xenosaga 4 without Monolith. *m* I'm not sure I could handle it.

I was just mentioning them because I know that you might get to be involved with the project maybe in some way so that would make you happy right?  You'd make sure they make a good game worthy of the title Xenosaga 4  

Think maybe it would be possible if Namco were to contact both Nintendo and Monolith? Namco has had games published on Nintendo's platforms plenty of times. I figure all three of them working together to get a remake or sequel could happen.

As for what other developer would I prefer to have develop it? Honestly it's a really tough call. I'm not entirely familiar with other companies that are good with JRPGs, and I really don't wanna say Square Enix.

Unless you are interested in the creepy surrealism of Stanley Parable and zero JRPG gameplay in your Xenosaga, I don't even have a dev team I could name off the top of my head.

We have the rights and we could outsource it, so itâ€s not like itâ€s stuck, but if there was a remake Iâ€d want the original staff to work on it.

This quote alone shows that they would be very much interested in working with the original team, or at least with Takahashi. That would be promising.

But I've grown more and more pessimistic these days, so I don't see much of anything happening at this point. Heck, I'd be cool with a visual novel, ala XenoComi or Missing Year, to finish the story. But a cool company to handle Xenosaga might be Gust. They have quickly become one of my favorite developers based on their work with Atelier and Ar Tonelico.

I'd prefer Monolith Soft be the only ones to handle it. They have a very unique touch in everything that they've worked on, I've seen, and I wouldn't like to see any other company make an attempt on that. They wouldn't be able to have the same touch.

It might be possible still for them and Namco to collaborate together, but I'm very unknowledgable about legalities. I just hope that this happens one day. That they come together to make a remake first, then attention is brought to the series, and it becomes a big thing with Xenosaga 4 through 6 finally being made. Probably won't happen though.
