Re: Dreams?
I dreamed of my death. Quick, short, and to the point with a bullet. I think I forgot about how much life means before then, but when I walked as a spirit, all I did was feel bitterness as I watched others live around me.

Re: Dreams?
I dreamed I was trying to floss my teeth in a really filthy bathroom and kept trying to wash germs off the floss. Not sure I want to read too much into that one. o_o
Oh, and yesterday I had a dream that, like, my whole family went to visit relatives (someone's great-grandparents, I believe) who were ridiculously wealthy and had a huge mansion where every room was like a litle apartment. I got my own room, which had multiple bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen, and I thought it was cool at first but then I realized I didn't actually have any privacy. People were always barging in on me, and the room actually belonged to someone else, a cousin or something, who had some questionable habits and left rotten food all over the place. :/ Then it just kind of devolved into this weird action-comedy movie skit about driving on a highway and a bunch of random stuff happening, I 'unno.

Re: Dreams?
Can't remember much of mine, but the common theme seems to be running and jumping through an urban landscape (usually at least somewhat resembling some of the things I've seen in person, so lotsa half-overgrown, half-filled with junk and not-built concrete constructions of various sorts vacant lots, trees, wooden buildings, parks, etc despite being clearly within city limits) almost like something out of a parkour youtube video.
(I have never done anything even remotely similar in my life and I doubt I will ever be able to; must be the reason for the bizzare geometry and movements having very little to do with the actual acrobatics crossing such an obstacle course would involve).
Sometimes, I am with someone I know in the waking world (however little their behaviour actually resembles the real person they've taken their face and name from) simply going from somewhere to somewhere else without any hurry (but still not actually walking normally - there is always a whole lot of jumping and running involved for some reason). Sometimes I am trying to catch up to someone, but never quite manage to. Sometimes I try to run away from someone, but never quite manage to either. Sometimes I am distinctly aware that I am actually not myself. Sometimes there is even actual fighting, shooting and hordes of zombies/chrysalids/whatever involved (always running and jumping like the Energizer bunny too, there is very little standing around in these dreams). But that's okay, I never actually come to harm in any way during all of that and don't even feel threatened.
There was a time I did though. There was a time such dreams regularly ended with me waking up just before I fell to my death. The last of those involved me actually falling in deep water and slowly drowning. It all ended when a thought came to me just about before I felt I was being pulled in a death dive again though.
I thought to myself: "But I don't have to fall. I can mash spacebar to remain airborne, right?"
And so I did. Never had the problem with it since too.
It is certainly not the only dream I've ever had, but it is one of the most easily remembered (for a dream that is) and has a recurring theme for several years in a row now.

Re: Dreams?
Word. :>
I never used to have recurring dreams (that I could recall), but in the past few years I've had some with recurring themes in them, mostly from stuff I'm anxious about. :/ Like, I just resigned from a data entry job that was kind of infuriatingly boring and so far I've had at least three dreams about having to go back to that job (presumably instead of the new one I'm starting next week) and being depressed or angry about it.

Re: Dreams?
*casually double posts because wtf was in that mango martini last night i don't even*
So I dreamed I was trying to make cookies, but also burn a copy of a music album where every track was contained in a different cookie, but then I forgot a crucial ingredient or something and didn't bake the cookies long enough, and they came out of the oven as some kind of half-formed cookie sludge. And when we tried to listen to the album that was baked into the cookies, it just sounded like a bunch of scrambled background noise. I thought maybe I forgot the baking powder or something but then my husband said it was probably because I didn't make the recipe with corn syrup, even though it didn't actually call for corn syrup. Said recipe did, however, require one can of baked beans and one can of not-baked beans, which seemed like kind of a weird thing to put in cookies but I think my subconscious forgot they were supposed to be cookies at that point. Also for some reason I kept trying to send a cryptic anonymous message on tumblr containing only the phrase "beans 'n' weenies"
... which sounds more and more like some kind of weird harassment now that I think of it consciously. o_o
Oh, and there was some weird crossover NES game that existed as the result of a printing error and resulted in Commander Keen inadvertently shooting R2-D2 to robot-death in front of an oblivious C-3PO.
There was also some kind of drama with a vampire (of the old horror movie non-sparkly variety) who was trying to buy me from my family or something and wouldn't take no for an answer, so I finally just barricaded myself inside the bathroom with random household objects while singing about all the reasons why it was a really bad idea.
Annnd then I was mixing up weird alcoholic drinks in my mom's kitchen with strange ingredients like "maple bacon syrup" and opaque, pebble-shaped ice cubes that did this weird Pop Rocks fizzing thing, and also Frangelico. And then I woke up. :|

^lol, fun dreams.
The one I could remember the other night was that I started making meth. I said I would only do it once. But I only got $160 for the batch, so I was a bit disappointed. But then Mari from the new Evangelion movies took a picture of me making meth and turned me into the police. O_o

Re: Dreams?
^ OMG. XD
I had a dream that someone on tumblr had taken a bunch of Xenosaga headcanons and made this epic ultimate fancomic of ultimate fanservice AND IT WAS REALLY WELL DRAWN but I never got to read it all the way through because there were, uh, some naughty bits and I didn't want to read it in front of my family. And then I got depressed and cried a lot because I couldn't draw as well as the fancomic artist, and it somehow ended with me sitting in the back seat of a car with a huge stack of blank sketchbooks on my lap, doodling on the corner of a scrap of lined paper. Some random guys in the front seat asked if I could draw, and I said I only did it for fun and wasn't very good at it. Then I told them the sketchbooks were blank because I wasn't good enough to draw in them.
OH. And there was this other weird dream where I was riding a bike home at night down a path covered in luminous green snow, and everything around was lit up with the same sort of glow-in-the-dark-type colors, but I was scared and disoriented and worried I would steer the bike off the path or something else would happen before I got home. The path seemed to go through some kind of suburban development, but off to one side was a kind of open field where I kept seeing wild animals out of the corner of my eye--foxes and deer and rabbits. Sometimes the animals would run across the path and start chasing each other, and one time a fox chased a rabbit into the woods and then another rabbit started chasing the fox. After a while I got nervous about riding on the bike, so I got off and walked and eventually got home.

^ Reading the first dream makes me want to buy you either an infinite amount of sketchbooks or an infinite amount of lined paper, cuz you rock. <3
I keep on forgetting my dreams, but as I was waking up today, I barely remember the image of a blonde woman on a bike. ^^

D'aww~ *hugs* <333
I had a dream about filing papers at my current job, and apparently when my husband tried to wake me up I said something like, "File it as a dismissal," and went back to sleep. He tried a few more times and I said, "If you keep waking me up, I won't file your legal documents anymore." I don't remember anything about the dream tho. :B

I wasn't really dreaming until something woke me up early on my phone. Then I had a bit of a nightmare about being called to the apartment of my abominable ex friends where I was asked to get them fast food while they waited.

Re: Dreams?
I may have dreamt (is this the correct form? I can't remember T_T) about a Xenosaga / Familiar of Zero crossover starring Ziggy. At least I think so, since the only recollection is a scene with Ziggy, Kirche and maybe Guiche talking about something.

Re: Dreams?
I dreamed I was doing something at my mom's house that required me to be knowledgeable about some subject, and someone (I think it was my mom and brother or some acquaintances?) commented that I was "smart," so I launched into this long tirade about how I'm actually a big dumb stupid and I hate being called "smart," and when I was in grade school people thought I was gifted because I was good at following rules and taking tests and that's how they measure smartness, i.e. not being able to think or act for oneself.
My subconscious must be into dropping truth bombs or something. .__.

Re: Dreams?
My recent dream was about cats, kittens and a very cute hedgehog. All in my house and garden, for me to pet.
I love those bastards so much and my cat (well, my sister's but he got attached to me more in the end), my big cute orange cat is such a hugger. Sometimes, I think he got attached to me like a kitten to his mother... but on another hand... this cat can get horny, it's kinda awkward (I'm not a female cat, geez... he never ever do that with my father *i find it fascinating somewhat though, animals can apparently treat you differently according to your gender... make you think some more about the similitaries between us and other species and how we should treat them with more respect, they're not soulless machines*).
I'd like to ask you something. It's kinda related to dreams I guess. Do you ever woke up some nights and felt really really weird, as if reality was some kind of nightmare, unpleasant ? It happened to me a few times. Kinda freaky. I wonder if I really was awake in fact. Maybe there is a "in between" state. Like, your body is awake and you feel it (your eyes are open) but you're still sleeping somewhat. Gosh, maybe that's what sleep walking feels like... without the walking bit.

Re: Dreams?
^ Yeah, I've had that feeling too when I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes.
I dreamed I was driving somewhere but I felt really tired and dizzy and started looking for a place to pull over. I stopped in a parking lot and got out to look at my car, which was this huge old-timey buggy thing with a trailer and like six wheels, five of which had flat tires. (I mean so flat they looked like they melted or something.) So I called or texted my husband and left him a long message about my car, and then I walked across the parking lot to a store that turned out to be this huge department store that specialized in all kinds of craft supplies. I was walking around looking for a bathroom when I saw a TV playing some version of Les Miserables, and then I went into the restroom and cried. I was going to post a tweet from my cell phone about getting excessively emotional over Les Mis, but then I woke up.

^Someone needs to draw that. That someone should be you.
A few nights ago, I dreamed I was hanging out with a friend and his ex-girlfriend (I don't know why she was there because I don't think they left on good terms...flashback dream?). We were at some restaurant and then suddenly men in ski masks with guns showed up. For some reason, I got snarky with them, which is strange for me. I thought I could just run away from them, but I got shot in the neck. I then woke up with a weird feeling in my neck.

I had a dream about a 2D sidescroller and a giant xenomorph-esque head mounted on a tree with tentacle limbs. It was even in 16bit and half of the song was stuck in my head too. I'm not sure if it means I secretly dream about tentacle porn.

Re: Dreams?
^ OMG, that actually sounds really cool though.
I had some weird long dream about "alternate versions" of Star Wars and the Neverending Story that were actually nothing like the original movies?? Like, the Star Wars one was about Luke and Han as teenagers driving around in a van with their friends and a baby they had to drop off somewhere, all the while making snarky jokes and comments. So I guess it was Star Wars as a teen comedy/road movie.
And then the Neverending Story took place entirely in the fantasy world, and I kept waiting for it to get back to the kid reading the book but it never did, and also the plot was completely different. I was with a bunch of people walking through a not particularly magical-looking forest (apparently this was still part of the movie) with all these weird flowers and what was apparently just bunches of asparagus coming up out of the ground. And then we came to a brick house that looked like an old remodeled factory and I said it looked like the house where I rented a room in college (which has never been a factory as far as I know). I was trying to explain that the house where I lived was actually split into two houses, but then I woke up and tried to explain the two houses thing to my husband and he was like, "WTF."
And I was confused for a second as to why he hadn't been paying attention.
