Dreams?

I had an extremely vivid dream sometime last month that was some kind of stage adaptation about something that happened to my family, but it didn't actually happen.

The family was in the Victorian era and there was an older daughter who was unmarried and in her 40's and very emotionally distraught, and a younger sister in her 20's that was being possessed by some sort of demon. The possession had been slow, and the younger sister used to be very sweet, but she started snapping off and saying and doing offensive things until it was obvious that the clergy needed to be called.

All the costumes kinda reminded me of the ones in the video for The Perfect Drug - https://youtu.be/sSLqeZzTU8I but the family except for the older daughter were all blondes.

The younger daughter's possession had sent the father into a completely catatonic state of not talking and just drinking. The mother was losing her mind fussing, but the daughter seemed to finally be breaking through her previous moodiness and was the one who arranged for the priest to come to the house.

It wasn't Ronan Harris from VNV Nation, but he spoke what I think were the words to Solitary https://youtu.be/RCv0cd-CLKc to try to expel the demon from the younger sister.

I woke up before the girl got un-possessed, but I hope it went well?

I have a recurring one about moving (back?) into my ex-dad and stepmom's house and having to rearrange all my stuff there.  Last night I had a dream that both my husband and I moved in with them and I kept trying to clean up "my" room in their house, which was full of junk from the last time I'd stayed there plus whatever stuff they'd tossed in there in the meantime (I guess they were just using my room for storage?), while also trying to cook dinner and shop for groceries and do miscellaneous household stuff.  But my ex-stepmom had also invited a bunch of her friends over, none of whom I knew very well, and they kept barging into my room or running into me and trying to introduce themselves, interrupting whatever I was doing.  (Also my ex-stepmom had apparently written and published a book?)  Anyway, I got super frustrated because I was trying to do all these things and my room was still a mess, and my ex-stepmom and her friends were being really flaky and annoying, and I felt like it was rude of her to invite all those people when she knew I'd be moving back in. ._.

Oh, and a few days ago I dreamed someone had set a pot of soup down on the pantry floor with a blanket over it, and when I took off the blanket the soup started boiling and sizzling like it was really hot.  So I tried to cover it again but the soup kept getting hotter, and eventually it went nuclear and, like, melted through the floor. o_o

Haha, classic dream scenarios, being back in the old room, soups melting through floors, the usual!

No interesting dreams lately, last night was quite annoying since I dreamed about a game that is on it's way in real life, but in the dream only a loose cart arrived and I was really annoyed... also rhubarbs where involved... I am off to bake a rhubarb pie!

XD You know, I always thought recurring dreams only happened in fiction until I started having them in my 20s. (I guess my brain ran out of ideas ... then again, the nuclear soup was a new one.) o_o

Another common theme is where I'm back at an old job and failing spectacularly ... usually it's the library I worked at in college, but the other night I had a dream about a gas station convenience store where I worked for about a year. It was my first day back and I threw a hissy fit as soon as I walked in because I found out I was supposed to be on the register, and I was, like, NOPE NOPE NOPE I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT CANNOT ON THE REGISTER SAM-I-AM (which adequately expresses how I feel about it in real life, but I've been stuck as a cashier in more jobs than I care to remember, so :/). Anyway, after having a tantrum and being informed I was wearing The Wrong Shirt (it was a store uniform but apparently the people working in the back had a different uniform to the people on the register), I just straight up walked out on the beginning of my shift. And then realized I had to go back and check the schedule because I didn't know my hours for the week. D'oh. I figured at that point they'd probably decided to fire me for walking out, so it was kind of like going back to close the door after it hit me in the butt.

Ok, I'm going to tell you my dreams about chaos. So that it's both offtopic and Xeno-related.

Err, the first dream was really, really embarrassing. I think it happened during the first game? At least he looked very young in the dream. The dream even accounted for his young looks. I dreamt of us being in a classroom at some school (although I'm an adult). And... dammit, how should I put it without anybody thinking I'm weird... basically, in that dream we were kissing xDDD I remember that everybody started turning to watch, and I felt awkward, and the teacher said: "Why don't you go somewhere else where nobody can see you?"

Ok, the second dream was weird, too, but nothing THAT weird. I was in someone's apartment and we were camping there. Don't ask... dream logic. There was a camp with bedrolls, and I remember chaos was on one of them and I was creeping up to him hoping to chat or something. Dammit I sound like a stalker... Anyway, in that dream he had the looks from the 2nd game, I think. And then I don't really remember what happened, but here we were riding on a bus. Chaos had a kid for some reason, and I started playing with it. It was a cute one.  

The third dream... Unfortunately, I don't remember the looks, and the dream left very vague memories. But it was certainly the least weird of them all. I remember there was some group of people and the Gnosis was chasing us, and chaos was killing them off to allow us to escape.

I wonder if anyone else had Xeno-related dreams?

Hahaha, that is a lot of chaos dreaming!

But yes, of course there has been a lot of Xeno dreams over the years, sadly not as
many these days but it happens. It is both the best and the worst to have a really clear
dream about alternative scenarios in the old games or parts from Episode IV... Usually my dreams
are in the form of the games or me playing the games, I rarely interact with the characters like
in your dreams, hehe.

I used to have a lot of dreams about Ziggy, and at least one during the year I took off college where Juli Mizrahi advised me on going back to school. XD

Also I had a dream yesterday (I think?) that was sort of a crossover between Adventure Time and Steven Universe, and there was a really sad scene with Simon Petrikov and Betty, but the thing I remember most clearly was that there was an amazing song at the end--like, I actually heard it in the dream and there was a choir and everything, and I was semi-conscious or lucid enough to think "How the heck am I dreaming about this song with my tone-deaf, music-impaired brain?"  And then I woke up and forgot how it went. T_T

I had another chaos dream today but forgot its contents... The awakening was too abrupt and I had no time to fully recall it.

However, I remember a dream I had in the middle of the night. I woke up after it briefly and recalled it. Wilhelm was in that dream, and he was telling me how he creates Testaments. Showing it on Albedo, who was manically grinning as always. The details are kinda gory, though, I remember Wilhelm turning Albedo's skin inside out... I don't know how else to describe it. But Albedo didn't mind... As for me, I was so horrified that I woke up, lol.

But this dream gave me an idea. I need to post about it in another topic.

Speaking of Xenosaga, last night I had a dream Constance Wu got cast as Lapis Roman in a live action version of Xenosaga.



So now I want a live action Xenosaga spinoff about Lapis Roman.

There is a live action Xenosaga?! Is there a link to it or something?

And oh god, I dreamt about Wilhelm again. Why not chaos? *cries*

But the dream was super funny. I remember how we were walking in the street and I said: "Wow, it's so cool to play this game! Alone it was interesting but together it's awesome!" The meaning of that was that we were kinda playing the game together, while both inside of the game, a la virtual reality. I suppose it would be cool, indeed.

Then I don't remember what happened, but eventually we ended up in some... shop? We were looking at books. Some girl walked up to Wilhelm with an open book and asked for help with math (possibly it was a student library?). Wilhelm said he didn't know math and we went away. Then I saw a few people who were looking at us strangely and whispering. One of them asked me: "Why are you walking here with HIM?" in a disgusted voice. I felt awkward. It was like Wilhelm was shunned for some reason, like an outsider.

We kept looking at books, though, and another girl walked up to him with an open book on mythology and philosophy. In the dream I kinda thought that Wilhelm must've looked like a philosopher (lol, I don't know why), and that's why she was mistaken like this. So before she asked him to help with these subjects, I told her: "No, he doesn't know mythology". She nodded and leafed through the book until she found a section on philosophy. I said: "And he doesn't know philosophy, either. He's a programmer!" (Lol, I don't know why i said that...)

Damn WTF am I dreaming about? And about whom? No chaos...

Alas, not an official one (for now?), but there was a thread on this board about parallels between Xenosaga and cinema that sort of turned into a "what if Xenosaga was a movie" brainstorm. XD

Haha! Finally a chaos dream. I'm so happy today

I was in the Xenosaga game, and we were inside of some Gnosis. It looked like that. I don't remember who was around, but I remember Jr. We just came from some Yuriev's base and I kept lamenting that we didn't find Citrine (I really liked her character lol). I kept facepalming and repeating dramatically "Citrine! Citrine!" and walking back and force. Jr. said "Don't worry" and something else I forgot.

Then he walked up to me and hugged me from behind (no, it was totally innocent I swear) and then I saw chaos and he hugged me from the front OMG! I felt very pleased, because I adore being hugged (and double-hugged is the best!), and so I hugged back, and since chaos was in front, fortunately I hugged him and not Jr.

That was unusual hugging, though. IN addition to physical sensations, there were like two waves or moods coming from them: tranquility from chaos and energy from Jr. I remember pulling back to say "Energy and tranquility don't even clash!" They mixed together kind of nicely in a dream.



P.S. Jr. wasn't necessary in this dream, he should go hug MOMO, but oh well...

There was a big dry spell without Xenosaga dreams.

But I can't believe what I dreamt of today. I just can't.

So, I was somehow dreaming of my fanfic. Shion and chaos were together and all that. Then Wilhelm appeared and... and the fic's  plot totally diverged, turning into something I couldn't imagine in my wildest dreams (or dirtiest nightmares lol).

Guess what? Wilhelm in my dream asked Shion to have sex with him... because he wanted to have indirect sex with chaos. He was gay in my dream. The idea behind indirect sex what that chaos had a lot of sex with Shion, so by inserting his thing inside Wilhelm kinda indirectly touched chaos, you know? The same idea about kisses, so Wilhelm even kissed Shion to get those indirect chaos kisses.

Shion agreed. Well, apparently he blackmailed her, I don't remember the details. And while they were doing it, he had his eyes closed and repeated "Yeshua, Yeshua..." Apparently imagining chaos all the time. O_O

OMG. OMG! Did I really dream something like that?..

And after the deed was done, Wilhelm told Shion to never tell chaos what just happened. He didn't want chaos to know that he was obsessed with him. And Shion agreed, because she didn't want chaos to know that she cheated on him, even unwillingly so.

i cat remember any of mine lately. but if theres a good one ill make a original story out of it. but i have no time for writing like i need to be. T__T

I had a weird one where Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones found out I was having an appointment with my therapist, so I had to reschedule it for a different time and place because apparently this was a breach of the privacy agreement or something. So my therapist changed the appointment to be at a place I'd never been to before that was actually in a different state (I think Delaware?), and I had to drive there, but the inside of my car had been ripped out and it was all full of junk and I was trying to read a map and yeah, idk.

I just had a freaky nightmare triggered by the terrorist waves and general feeling of insecurity the world is generating these days. I dreamed I needed to hide in a huge city. And I remember the feeling of being set on fire. Freaky.

Over the past week or so I've dreamed about being back in college and not knowing when or where my classes were, going back to my library job and being confused about my shelving responsibilities, and having to move back in with my ex-stepmom and living in fear that I'd make a loud noise in the house before she got up in the morning (which she used to freak out at me for, ahaha).  It was like a greatest/worst hits of all my recurring anxiety dreams (well, other than the one about the teeth). .m.

My old dog was there too, for some reason.

The other thing I remember clearly from last night is going to some sort of convention thingy with a buffet-style cafeteria, but all the food was really weird, like their idea of "vegan" was just plain lettuce and carrots in the shape of a pie, and I tried to eat something with bananas in it but they were rotten and then I felt sick.  Then later we were outside and I found what looked like a small metal badge or pin on the ground, and it had something in German written on it.

ive been not remembering mine.

I had one last night that I was out shopping(?) somewhere with @katimus_prime and my husband when the store announced that there was going to be a "hostage situation" that we all had to show up for (I mean really, who the heck invites people to be taken hostage and announces it beforehand?).  So we all went into this big auditorium/showroom-type thing and the person taking the hostages turned out to be this spoiled brat in her early 20s who didn't like the car her parents bought her, so she wanted to make us all test drive it for some reason.  After she got done telling us this, we all kind of just walked out of the auditorium like "yeah, sure, OK," and I was like, "Well, if she's rich enough that her parents bought her a car, she can probably afford to put an ad for a test driver on Craigslist," so we just went home.  And then I realized I'd left a bag with my stuff at the store. T_T

I had a dream that I lived in a dormitory or something that didn't have any walls, just a sort of low border of rocks around it, and people kept wandering in so I beat them up and then I felt really, really bad. D:

I dreamed about chris evans.

I fell asleep waiting for a friend to show up and pick up a cosplay wig commission I did for her.

I guess I was asleep for a bit because I had a dream that two entirely different friends showed up and not for a wig. And I looked up my stairs and there were a bunch of cats. (We don't have any pets but I really love animals, we're just away too much but that may change) And then I pick up one but she starts pooing runs everywhere so, I go to take her outside because I don't have a litter box. When I get outside, there's guinea pigs in costumes running up toward me. I think I was somewhat lucid at this point because I think I realized I was dreaming about animals and wished for alpacas and one appeared and started walking up to me. There was another across the street and I woke up overly happy because alpacas (and forgot the pooing cat).

ive had a few I should write down & make a short story out of.

I had one last night that there was, like, a weird remake of Xenosaga where they changed a bunch of character designs and back stories, and for some reason MOMO looked like this:



(... but only until she got captured by Ormus/rescued from Pleroma, because after that she just looked like Episode 1 MOMO.)

At first I thought the short hair and long coat were subconsciously influenced by Jr., but now that I've actually tried to draw it, it also kinda looks like Juli's outfit a little?
