^ LOL, it's an interesting thought, but I think humans have always had these shallow consumeristic tendencies to balance out their better judgement, and human-made inventions like Facebook (and all the thousands of years of technology leading up to it) are just ways of catering to those desires (and maybe reinforcing them too, since it's kind of a vicious cycle). I think the things we create to pander to our baser instincts probably say a lot about who we are, just as much as the stuff we consider profound art and literature. #stitchedmoon waxes pseudo-philosophical

On the other hand, I don't really like Facebook either? :D It's kinda like the Wal-Mart of the internet, and I only really go on there to check my messages occasionally. (But I can't really judge because I spend an awful lot of time on tumblr, which is like the hipster elitist Starbucks of the internet and therefore just as bad in its own way. :S )
