^ I believe that we will die and that after death, anything is possible. =)
    <

I also believe that having an afterlife would be a beautiful thing.
V What is something that is beautiful to you?

^ Your signature is quite beautiful, I must say!
    >

Also, the ocean. I've lived beside it most of my life and I still stop and appreciate its beauty.
V Do you enjoy the ocean?

^ I do! My family used to visit there every summer.
    >

We used to go to Long Island in New York, where my uncle lives. There was a bay on one side and ocean beaches on the other, and I always liked the bay because the waves were smaller and less scary and you could find cool things in the sand. owo
v Any vacation/travel plans in the near future?

    ^ If "

    Near future"

means within three years, then Germany!! No specific places yet, but I've highlighted a few areas.
    <

Can't speak a word of German (but will try to learn how to ask for directions)
V Ever gone to a place you don't speak the language?

    ^ Nope!
    >

That would be because I have never left Canada. XD I do know French, though, and I took some German and Latin in university.
V A language you really want to learn?

^ Oh gosh, I want to learn all of them. French, Spanish, Chinese, and Sanskrit in particular, but I don't seem to have the patience anymore.
    >

I also kind of want to learn Swedish after picking up a few words subliminally from movies? But I probably should relearn Japanese and German first because I studied them in high school and then completely forgot everything I know.
v Last movie you watched and what you thought of it?

^ Geez, what was the last movie I watched... Oh right it was Frozen, I think. I thought it was cute and enjoyable!
    >

I don't really watch that many movies because I have trouble dedicating that much uninterrupted time to them.
V Something that doesn't really hold your interest?

^ I feel the same way about most movies, actually. It has to be something I've been wanting to see for a while or have actors I really like in it, otherwise I can't pay attention. :B
    >

Same thing for TV shows and stuff. On the other hand, there are a few animes I've been wanting to see for years (like, I've literally wanted to watch Utena since I heard about it like 14 years ago and I really have no excuse for why I haven't sat down and just marathoned it yet and holy crap I have spent LITERALLY HALF MY LIFETIME wanting to watch Utena), but I keep getting distracted because I am a terrible person. XD
v A show (or game or book or fandom or whatever) you've been wanting to get into for a while?

    ^ Dr. Who
    <

Unfortunately, I have been unable to watch it. T-T And so many people talk about it!!
    V What's a fandom/book/game/anime/etc. that you hear a lot about, but have never seen/read/etc.?

^ The anime Free! I bump into Free! yaoi all over the place, it's impossible not to notice it (at least as a yaoi fan). But since I don't watch anime at all, I've obviously never seen it.

^ Bladerunner. For not clear distinctions between man and machine, and a taste for noir and black, dark parts of the world. Dehumanization has been a really important thing that's on my mind as an adult.

^ (Heck yeah, Blade Runner is awesome.) I guess this is more of an archetype than a specific character, but characters with a surrogate parent-child relationship are really important to me.
    >

Literally the only thing you have to do to get me interested in something is throw in an abandoned little kid and a cool dad who isn't their biological dad and I will be all about that thing.
v Do you tend to prefer characters who remind you of yourself, or of qualities you value in other people? Or both??

^ I've realized I tend to dislike characters that are more like me. So I actually tend to flock to ones that are idealized versions of people I care about or am supposed to care about.
    <

Will always be a sucker for the aloof but ultimately caring older sibling, that usually acts as a parent to the younger sibling. Bonus points if they're not blood related!!

^ Despite often having the most crazy kind of dreams, an octopus has never appeared in any of them.
    <

The weirdest animal to have popped up in one of my dreams would be a winged horse.
v A fantasy creature you wish was real?

^ Maybe, like, gnomes or tiny magical people in general? I guess because I think miniature things are cool and it would be super awesome to find one in your garden. :B
    >

Or dragons, but like, the friendly benevolent kind.
v If you had magic/super powers, what kind of powers would you have?

^ I guess shapeshifting would be cool. Then I could just shapeshift into my ideal view of a real-life bishounen, haha.
    <

Always liked Mystique from X-men (she can shapeshift too!).
v If you could shapeshift into an animal, would you want to try that out? xD

^ Probably would be a toss-up between certain shades of red that don't naturally occur to us IRL (like crimson-deep-red) and something like cyan.

    ^ I've seen someone IRL with immediately noticeable difference in the eye color - it looked like about ~40% of the iris in one of their eyes had a different color 'spilt' over it. It looked a bit strange but no more than that. Certainly nothing like close up photos of albino eyes made directly from the front with a flash;

those can be, IMHO, downright creepy at times. So, I'd say 'cool'

Not so much in animation though. A character sporting heterochromia that I've liked the look of is a rarity.

    >

Surprisngly enough, yellow fictional eye color is about my favourite too. 'Golden' and 'amber' tones specifically, although 'somewhere between green and yellow like some owls and eagles have' would be a close third.

v Thoughts on asymmetrical character design? (Think what Tetsuya Nomura did in the recent ~12 years or so.)
