Lets look at some of the ways Xenoblade X is like Xenosaga, only the polar opposite.

1: Man and their history is essentially what is in the Zohar (lifeholds), while in Xenosaga higher dimensional beings were, or the ability to link the lower dimension and higher dimension to cast ether (like chaos), space warp like JRs ship is able to do, ect.

2: The failsafe in Xenoblade is linked to the human body, while in Xenosaga the failsafes were chaos and Kos-Mos.

3: The Galactic Federation served to keep humanty alive using perpetual recurrence in Xenosaga, in Xenoblade X the Galactic Federation has chosen to bring humanities extinction.

4: Kos-Mos being a robot aiding humans of flesh and blood in Xenosaga, Xenoblade X Elma is the only flesh and blood body among a civilization of self aware robots.

5: Albedo's incapability of dying and (while this is speculation), Lao's essentially the living dead at the end of Xenoblade X

6: Both were developed under the code name "Project X". No real opposites here, just another thing to show a similarity.

7: Another similarity between the series is Elma's dark skin and white hair (relation to chaos and Mary) as a robot, and awakened she looks like Kos-Mos as flesh and blood.

8: The ability to pilot mechs, and customize them to great lengths, as well as them being a bit part of basic combat overall. This again is only a similarity, but I'm kinda adding them as well.

This is pretty much all I've got as of now off the top of my head. But will add more as it comes to me. Feel free to add anything you've noticed, similar or otherwise.

Not too sure about a complete photo negative, but I do see several mirrorings. Sorry for the short reply, but another thing that's the-opposite is the ending shot of XSIII and the beginning shot of XBX.

True about the ending! And I don't know, I feel there are a few to many plot points that hit the same but different mold to be a mere coincidence. Hopefully we'll see more in episode 2.

Oh man I really hope there will be an episode 2. Hearing that Takahashi gets bored and moves on to the next thing kinda has me wondering, but it might be a ploy. XD

Still, there's an 18 year history of stories being started but not finished. XBX had such good setup and I need and want closure, even if it's in something small like a novel.

Yeah, but the stories he hasn't completed were never because he got bored and moved on. Though I do know exactly what your talking about (what he said in the interview). He at least needs to uncover the secrets of Mira, ect. WAY to many loose threads to leave as is. He needs to wrap this one up before he moves on.

That is true with Gears and Saga that he was unable to go back to them. I have a ton of questions about Blade, but it makes sense as a standalone I suppose. X is the only one so far that I NEEED closure on that Monolith can act on. I've just become cynical, but more of a sad cynic and less of a bitter cynic. It's hard to be bitter when everyone I remember from the dev team is gainfully employed and working on something Xeno.

My feelings exactly. That being said, I doubt he will ever go a full 6 episode anything again. Which is sad, but if we can at least get a X-2, or even a trilogy with X-3, I'll be happy.
