Conventions

I go to a couple of them everyyear and I enjoy it really much. Mostly canadian ones however like G-Anime(gatineau), Anime North(Toronto), Otakuthon(Montreal)

...And now... this year I'm gonna go for the first time into a USA covention folks.. that is OTAKON! So anyone going ? =)

Due to money restrictions, I might have to limit my Otakon visit to just-having-lunch with friends this year again like I have for the past 3 years. I really wanted to get Crispin Freeman's autograph for us, too. -_-;

I wouldn't mind getting it for you, but we would have to meet up another time for me to give you back whatever you want to sign =p. Unless it's just an albedo picture or something I could print one and bring it and we could meet up after I get autograph and stuff to give it to you.

Actually, it wouldn't be for me, I would ask for it to be for Xeno Underground as a whole. I also wanted to give him a drawing of Albedo, too, just to keep. We need to plan this. *A*

I went to Indiana Comic Con a few months ago. It was muuuuuch better than the previous year, which was the first year for us to have the con. They just organized it a lot better and the panels were much better. I'm hoping to go to Gen Con at the end of this month, but it may conflict with work, so I'm not 100% certain if I'll get to go or not. If so, it will be my first time at Gen Con, which is supposed to be my state's best convention.

I had to cancel my Otakon plans. My husband got laid off, so we have to hold on to our savings much tighter from now on. -_-;

i didnt actually get to go but loki was excellent when tommy hiddley lol was at comic con that year.

Lunaris and I are going are to ANIMATE! A convention in Miami, which is held in October. He's commissioned someone to make a Shion costume for me, as we realized that there just isn't enough time or skill to be making our own stuff. I hope I'm not too awkward to interact with others.

I love conventions, mainly smaller ones ( I don't like moving around in big crowds. dragoncon was hell)

I don't go to many panels, but it's nice to just step into another world. I'm always very sad when they're over.

I think the next con I want to be at, I want to be at an art table for. And for it to be small enough that I could just walk in and get a table. I'd rather be a passive observer at a con from now on, not an active participant. No lines except to get in the door, not lookin' to get no autographs. Just wanna do some art for people and appreciate people appreciatin' the things we all love.

So, anyone up for Otakon this year~? :3c I haven't really been in a while because of the ratio of crowdedness and expensiveness to things relevant to my interest, but it's a good way to meet up with internet friends if you're in the neighborhood. (I think some peeps from the Xenolegacy days were talking about going this year, but I dunno if anything's for sure yet.)

Speaking of Xenolegacy days, me and some others met up at Colossalcon last year and it was great. It was going to happen again this year, but one of them dropped out. So it's me and one other in artist alley!
