So I posted like, eons ago (2013) about a comic I wanted to start. Well, I started back in 2006 and restarted in 2008 and it kinda just died. I'm finally to the point where I'm ready to restart it.
It originally came about through a Xenosaga rp on livejournal and I had to create an oc (relative/great, great, great? grandchild of Melisse) to have scenes with another oc. I loved my little character a lot and wanted to do more with her after the RP died, so I developed my own story and some other characters. It was kind of a hot mess starting out and I had no idea what I was doing.
I revisited the idea more recently. I threw in more Xeno references (ye shall be as gods will be in there, and yes it will be depicted as a password at one point) mostly just to pay homage to the series and to where everything started and because I really love big epic storytelling. Oh yeah there's ancient monoliths that may or may not have glowy centers involved. Anyway, I've gotten everything written. I'm just going through and planning the first pages.
It's a post-apocalyptic sci-fi adventure story with magic (well being harnessed by technology) on a cool alien world? :B Sounds generic. But it deals a lot with issues of anxiety, depression, learning to move beyond guilt, and there's a lot of mom issues in there too because I struggle with it.
