I was thinking, various androids in Japan are real already. It would be cool to create KOS-MOS in real life. Is it possible? I guess, the OS will be the problem.

P.S. Yeah, I'm just crazy KOS-MOS fanatic ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY

I've thought about this too, though obviously like you said, the OS is the problem, haha. It'd be more difficult to program the AI than to build her.

Tech is improving at a really fast rate, so you never know what can be possible in the future. There are cars being developed that can drive themselves and recognize what's in front of them so they can stop/slow down and what not. It's a matter of time until an android is developed that can move and function in a given room without stumbling over everything. :laugh4: After that, acting like a human will be by far the most difficult part to program.

One interesting thing to note on the topic is that, according to more recent attempts to fit everything into a humanoid form, the most roomy free space to fit your 'AI core', 'heart drive' or whatever that makes your ridiculously human robot tick is where the guts in a human would be. Take note if you are going to be writing fanfiction / making fanart / whatever.

In KOS-MOS' case it a appears to house a 'Gomora cannon' already though... Xenosaga does employ some interdimensional screwery in the form of making use 'upper domain' in everything though, so I guess it would all come down to how much space magic you are willing to tolerate in your fanwork.

(Which would coincidentally make Xenosaga about the only sci-fi universe that could make 'super hacking' plausible. If they employ 'upper domain' to make all those huge databases they have to make them work, it would effectively make all their computers linked up to a wi-fi network 24/7, accessible remotely to anyone within a certain radius with proper equipment and knowledge.)

Then there's the argument over which version to build and how to avoid the uncanny valley.
