I am a completely new blood here and a non-native english speaker, so please be gentle!
I mean, really, really new - I have completed my first full playthrough of Xenosaga ep.I-III less than a month ago, ffs! I have purposefully avoided any and all sections of the internet that had to do anything with the games in order to avoid spoiling myself before I had the opportunity to get my hands on the product personally, so I am a completely new (and very late) addition to the fanbase.
On the flip side, I've had the benefit of playing all three games back-to-back non-stop from start to finish with no previous information sans what is said in the tvtropes article's topmost part. Also, I doubt I would've liked Xenosaga quite as much as I do now if I were introduced to it, say, ten years ago, so there is that.
