Winter Contest Announcement and Rules

RULES FOR DA CONTEST!!

Since we don't have much of a front page to speak of really, I can't promise a winner any feature, but I can offer a 10 Dollar [USD] gift card to Amazon or other online retailer or re-up DA subscription as a prize for the top winner in Visual and the top winner in Literary works.

Our deadline for this contest is FEBRUARY 28, 2013!!!

Here's the skinny - do a winter-themed and or Valentine's day themed fanwork for any of the Xeno games by February 28. There will be two categories of winnership - Visual work and Literary work.

Visual Work - Any work displayed that uses a picture to show it off.
Drawings/Paintings, digital or traditional
3D Models
Crafts Showcase (pearler beads, sculpture, stuffed toys)
Culinary Showcase (Food items, anything ended up drawn on food items)
Graphics (signatures, avatars, wallpapers)
Video (animation of a 3D model, 2D animation or a VGMV)

Literary Work - Any work that is text-based and has to be read.
Fanfiction (Regular fanfiction and song fics are acceptable. Please spell things right.)
Fan Poems
Filk Songs (yes, I know that counts as audio, but the thing that makes it stand out will be the lyrics, which will need to be read)
Visual Novels (yes, they have visual elements, but are scripted and have to be read.)

Please do not submit work that...
...(for literary work) is not grammatically sound or hasn't been spell-checked
...is just a macro or meme base
...is not done specifically for this contest
...uses others' fanwork without their permission/is not sourced
...contains full nudity or language above an R rating or is otherwise degrading or fetish-ish
...uses crossovers with characters from games that aren't Xenosaga, Xenogears or Xenoblade

Miscellanea

• Fanservicey stuff is permitted so long as it doesn't cross the Questionable line (please no completely exposed boobs or reproductive equipment or any other thing that'll get it shunted to the 18+ area).[/*247zr4n2]

• If you feel your entry crosses one of the lines, please submit it to one of the admins (Leah7, stitchedmoon, LadyTwi, xenolion or myself) and make a case for it.

The board populous will vote on Visual and Literary works separately. In order to circumvent ties, each voting member will be given 6 points to vote with per category - 3 to the one they like the best, 2 to the second and 1 to the third. The winner of each category will receive a 10 dollar gift card to the online retailer of their choice.
All entries will have their work posted in the omake section of Xeno-Underground.

Even though our forum is dead in the water, our whole website isn't down, and hopefully won't be down before the January deadline.
